Do You Stand With Phil?

Phil Robertson, the Duck Dynasty patriarch, provided GQ magazine with an interview that prompted the A&E Network to put him on a hiatus from the show. Phil's thoughts and feelings on the subject of homosexuality were his, yet because he spoke with truthfulness and did not lie, he is being cast aside by the network. Certainly his freedom of speech is being tread upon.

Let the world know how you feel at I STAND WITH PHIL.

Monopoly game rules change

The other night we were over at a friends house and a game of Monopoly ensued. Before long I had acquired my usual properties and my rents were paying off. It looked like another night of winning at Monopoly for me when the following occurred.

A player asked to be excused and went into another room to return with a small printer. His cash reserves were down and his ownership of property was leveraged. The player, using his small printer, printed himself a fistful of new dollars. He claimed he needed to print more money for himself in order to stimulate his position. I had never played Monopoly this way and knew pretty quickly that I needed a money printer in order to hold my current status and stay in the game.

It did not take long for the prices of the properties, the bids and the rents, to rise. After all, there was a lot more money in the game and unless you were willing to print new money, you would not be able to compete. Because the money could be printed at will, I knew prices would rise due to the diminished value of the newly printed bills.

To date, we are still playing the game. Every time a player gets in trouble, he or she simply prints more money, thus extending the game. We have called a timeout for discussion of this new rule that allows us to print money. We now recognize the money printing has only extended the coming pain for those who, once the printing stops, will lose every thing they own due to their poor financial decisions.

The Benefits Of Gelatin

Growing up and eating Jello from time to time, I did not think about the good it might be doing for me internally. Why would a kid think of gelatin benefits? Fast forward a few decades and now I must proclaim my personal story.

Joint pain had become noticeable, especially after strenuous activity. Over the years I had heard that Jello was good for the joints, but I desired a healthier alternative. Hence, organic bovine gelatin.

For the past 60 days, as instructed, I have stirred one tablespoon of organic bovine gelatin into a cup of coffee each morning to start each day. The coffee remained delicious. Again, each night I have stirred one tablespoon of organic bovine gelatin into either a delicious cup of hot cocoa or hot lemonade. This daily process has not changed for over 60 days.

After the first ten days my joint pain was gone. No joint pain at all and popping out of bed each morning very quickly has become a wonderful way to start the day. Yet there are more gelatin benefits to discuss.

Remember, I started this regimen for the joint pain. Yet the following has occurred:

1. My fingernails are harder and stronger. I can scrape bark off of a tree with my toe nails.

2. My hair appears thicker and more healthy. Even my stylist noticed the difference.

3. My face looks younger and I know this because people are telling me.

4. My weight has dropped. Is it because organic bovine gelatin is very high in protein?

The above is what I can tell you has occurred in my life after just 60 days of stirring organic bovine gelatin into my daily routine. I encourage you to try it.

Did you ever think collagen (organic bovine gelatin) therapy could be so cheap?

We Are So Busy Our Doors Remain Closed

So we opened a new store that sells a product that we promise will save people at least $2500.00 annually. Maybe times are hard or maybe people are no longer pinching pennies, but quarters and half-dollars. The reason I say that is because we are utilizing a brand new marketing strategy and the promise of saving $2,500.00 should be quite a come on. Our strategy is to convince our customers, through news stories and signs, that so many people are trying to get in that we can not even open the doors.

We are claiming that we were not prepared for the overwhelming response and we claim each day the customers are there, trying to get in, and that we see new faces in the crowd. Does it sound like it is working? What did we do right? Was it the promise of the $2500.00 annual savings? Is it because we have something for everyone, including those who had been denied something elsewhere? Maybe that is it, I do not know.

But for some odd reason, none of our customers are government officials. They have said they want no part of what we have to offer. I do not know why and it is very confusing to us? Should we continue to keep the doors shut while telling everyone the reason is due to an overwhelming response? At what point would you open the doors?

Now, I have to be honest. A few customers who did get in complained about the price, but said they really had no choice because they risked getting fined. Fined, by the same government officials who do not want it, for not having it. I do not know who these officials are, but the customers made them sound really official.

Oh well, what a dilemma we have. The government is forcing our customers to buy it and the response has overhelmed us. I guess we will just have to hope the curiosity wanes. In the meantime, should I be worried about selling a product to my customers that my government officials have clearly stated they want no part of?

Report Proves Global Warming Folly

Today the report of the Non-Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) document was released. Unless you look really hard for it, you will not find this report, that took years in the making thereof, anywhere. Its release revealed a few facts: If we doubled the concentration of CO2 from where it was in 1750, which might occur by 2050, we can expect to cause somewhere between 1.1 degrees Celsius global warming or 0.3 degrees Celsius global cooling. If we have paid attention, most of the global warming has already occurred. Humans have had minute impact on the climate. Yet trillions of dollars are being squandered around the world by governments under the guise of protecting us from ourselves. How hard is it to get global temperature to change? In the past 420,000 years, temperatures have varied up or down about 1 percent. That is enough for an ice ages at one moment and comfortable warm periods like the present at another. Serious, objective scientists could not imagine that altering 1/3,000 of the atmosphere over the coming century would make a noticeable difference to global temperature. According to satellite records, there has been no global warming at all for 17 years. We all know CO2 is good for trees and plants. The NIPCC report conveys the good effects of CO2 as well as the bad. CO2 is plant food. Without it, trees and plants would die and there would be no life on Earth. To green the planet we need CO2 in the air. Here is a rather alarming summation: The NIPCC report says that with only 0.04 percent CO2 in the atmosphere, plants and trees are starved of it. Plants need more. So, why did the world get warmer in the 20th century? It was the sun. Now that solar activity is declining, the world is no longer getting warmer. In fact, we could be facing global cooling of as much as half a degree Celsius, or 1 degree Fahrenheit, over the next two or three years. With solar activity continuing to decline, it only has to change a little to have a big effect on the climate. Ever wonder why the Farmer’s Almanac is so consistent? They base forecast on the sun’s activity, for one. Another stunning revelation in the NIPCC report is that the “consensus” among climate scientists, that most of the global warming since 1950 was our fault, never existed in the first place. Of the 11,944 papers published and analyzed in learned journals over the 22 year period of 1991-2012, just 41 papers or 0.3 percent of the total and not the 97 percent that is often claimed, agree that the recent warming trend was the fault of humans. But what a wonderful and extremely creative stab at “taxation without representation” by our elected masters it was.

Can You Imagine If ......

I often wonder why so many people just sit back and take it. Perhaps they are comfortable and just do not want to really bother with it. However, the Jesse Jackson's and the Al Sharpton's of this country really need to consider an option that has yet to be played. I see a lot of people of all types getting along just fine. Yet the headlines tell us another story. Why is division a constant promotion in the United States of America? Do these promoters understand the power of a very silent majority that might just be starting to stir? If I were to advocate any kind of "tit for tat" or "quid pro quo" it would be used only as a necessity to make the Jesse's and the Al's recognize their self grandeur and promotion in order to bring them back down to a true reality. For every action they call against others because of their take on race relations, we must meet it head on with one of our own. Whatever method they employ, you employ exactly the opposite. Whatever you do, start making some noise. Squeaky wheels get greased and your silence is deafening. Martin Luther King said he wished for people to be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. He was exactly right. Character counts and it is our character that should make the biggest difference in our lives.

Top Ten Fastpitch Softball Books of 2015

Have you seen the Top Ten Fastpitch Softball Books of 2014 list? After all, we have our favorite fastpitch softball players and our favorite fastpitch softball teams, but how many of us have read one of the best fastpitch softball books of the year? When you were a kid, did you keep several fastpitch softball books to read laying around or did you have a couple of fastpitch softball books that you read over and over? Well, I did and one of those favorite fastpitch softball books I read as a kid was given as a present to me on my 29th birthday. Yes, I read it again.

The Top Ten Fastpitch Softball Books of 2014 list is composed of current bestsellers and a couple of hidden gems. "Throw Like A Girl" is the great book from Jenny Finch and is on top, with "Little League Softball Champs" and "Fastpitch Softball: The Windmill Pitcher" closing just a few books behind in the Top Ten Fastpitch Softball Books of 2014 list.

My favorite, especially for the 10 - 13 year old fastpitch softball enthusiast, is Little League Softball Champs. It captures the moments and the essence, while offering a real encouraging and motivational value in a story of courage and sacrifice. You can get the PDF Version now, just click here. If you prefer to order the paperback, please click here or the KINDLE eBook edition by clicking here.

The Harmful, Corrupt Power of Television

Have you ever seen the 1957 movie "A Face in the Crowd" starring Andy Griffith? It pre-dated his sheriff show with Barney Fife and Opie but the message of "A Face in the Crowd" was very clear. It is more clear today.

Clearly ahead of its time, and certainly one of the first movies to question the influence of television, its jaundiced view of television now seems entirely prophetic. In this modern age of American culture, where the merging of media and politics is very intertwined, there have been many media personalities who have captured the attention and the imagination of the American public for all the wrong reasons. It was not by their message, but by how nice they looked and sounded on television. "A Face in the Crowd" stood as a warning then: when we turn on our television sets, radios, or exercise our right to vote, we should be wary of the specter of Lonesome Rhodes. It is a warning that still rings true today.

The power of television is very real. Any medium that attracts several senses, emotions, or thoughts at the very same time has always proven to be more stimulating. Two dinners can be the very same and taste exactly alike, but the more attractive one will get the most attention. We have to recognize this power and we have to make sure our children completely understand.

I only have to draw one line on a piece of paper to gauge how television, with news cycles offering approved propoganda or crime-filled drama, has affected society. On one side of the line is the period before 1957. On the other side is the period since. What do you think of the change?

A Russian leader once said America would be defeated from within. Was he right? Did it begin in our living rooms?

Higher Education Cost Can Be Lowered

We know new colleges and universities are not being built, tuition rates are sky-rocketing and more and more students wish they could afford to go. It is a simple supply and demand problem. Of course the government wants to help with loans that immediately saddle the graduate or non-graduate with debt. Go figure. Meanwhile, college athletics is booming. Major corporations such as NIKE display their logo's, bowls earn millions, the NCAA earns a billion here and a billion there, while TV rakes in many billions of dollars to pay all of the athletic conferences a few hundred million cumulatively. At least the college athlete gets a scholarship. For any entity making money off of the backs of the college athlete, shame should be brought down upon them. The illegal profits earned as a result of their use of an amateurs athletic ability should be redirected to the colleges and universities as scholarship money to the non student-athlete. Like an insurance fund it can be pooled and disbursed. With this redirection of money, we still need to encourage additional college and university construction in order to expand the competitive base among all institutions. After all, we do not want to see the existing colleges and universities simply raising their rates due to the increased revenue.

Only God Can Make That Decision

Divisive subjects are meant to be what they are. As soon as a solution is found that is bi-partisan, another divisive subject comes along to do what it is intended to do. The word "marriage" has been thrown about the past few years with very divisive results. Even the United States Supreme Court was divided with one justice lambasting another.

The word "marriage" is about inclusivity, yet is being used for divisive purposes. How can you reconcile that, you might ask? How did we get to a point whereas the word "marriage" had to be defined?

I say, "does it really matter?" Deep in your heart and in your soul you know that man created language founded upon the definition of words. So why are so many so excited about a particular word created by the likes of men?

Your relationship with God is what really defines you and your definition of any word of man. You know by obeying the word of God your reward is eternal. You also know the word of God will "not be hearkened" by so many others. So please, fall back into the comfort zone of your very own relationship with God and let those who so choose to live "differently" do just that.

Prayer works wonders. It has been maligned by most men, but that is what we have been told to expect. This little book here called The Ten Commandments Every Day will certainly help you relax while providing a pad of comfort through a better understanding of its meaning.

After all, you and I both know who reigns SUPREME.

Algorithm That Connects The Dots

It was so easy to laugh out loud when I first heard of the NSA using an algorithm that connects the dots while snooping on the communications of American citizens. Of course, I did not realize Al Gore had rhythm. I have to say that because some politicians will do anything to get their name into the daily mainstream.

As an American citizen we need to demand government funding that allows us to create a system that monitors the communications of our elected officials. The protocol will be exactly the same as the NSA system. We will use our own algorithm that connects the dots.

We need to be able to connect the dots, see the patterns, and demand warrants when we see a threat emanating from a particular pattern that threatens the Constitution our elected officials were elected to uphold.

Did you just learn that a communication is also known as a dot? Let's call our algorithm that connects the dots Crystal Clear.

Recognize The Rights Of Others As Your Own

We can remember Martin Niemoeller from the 1940s saying:

First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.

Today, we learn our communications are probably not private.

This abuse of others' rights must always be recognized as an abuse of our own.

Reality TV: An Inexpensive DWI Solution

Think one moment about the money involved in management of disease. Like management of crime and illegal drugs, the hope for a cure would simply "not be profitable." Each night we are bombarded with reality television and we wonder about the phenomenon.

Below is a link to a short, but very powerful video. You want a more responsible society, show them this reality. Then say to yourself, "WE MUST CHANGE OUR FOCUS TO TARGET CURE INSTEAD OF "DISEASE MANAGEMENT PROFITS." Please turn on your sound.

Now, imagine this as a weekly reality television program.

Margaret Thatcher's Last Speech

Today Margaret Thatcher died. She will be remembered as one of the greatest Prime Ministers in Britain's history. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's final speech, provided in this video, reminds us why we loved her so.

Are You Falling For North Korea......

It pains me to think we could be deceived into believing a big war is about to break out with North Korea. I am reminded of the very political prosecutor, who makes a mountain out of a molehill, not for justice, but only for political gain. Then he runs around thumping his chest while telling the voting public, "See what I've done."

"Chinese troops amassing at the North Korean border,' 'American B2 bombers stage flybys over Korean peninsula,' 'North Korea moves missiles to eastern seaboard," etc., all of these messages coming from our compliant media. Who will be the saving politician here, the one who gets the glory for saving America from a North Korean nuclear attack? Let me guess. Can you?

One thing is very clear. Americans buy a lot of goods from China and China really needs the revenue from American consumers, China's biggest customer.  You can see where I am going with this. So please, do not be afraid. Instead, contact your congressman and senator daily to let them know you are tired of this nonsense. They know how important it is for Americans to continue to buy goods tagged with "Made In China."

This North Korean "wag the dog" only has me concerned with what is really being hidden from us.

A Winning Solution To Classroom Crisis

A teacher that I know was crying the other day. She was crying because her job had become such an emotional burden. She wants to teach and has done very well as a teacher for the past 29 years. Her ability, however, is now burdened with children and parents who just don't care. It is true, teachers have transitioned into babysitters due to societal needs. Large class sizes coupled with a few undisciplined children inhibit her ability to teach. You can bet she is not alone.
I have said it before and I will say it again. teachers need to go on a nationwide strike right now. This strike should be different. Strike for more discipline, not more money. Parental support will be magnified with this type of strike. I can even see parents walking the picket line with them. With more discipline measures gained from such a strike, the teacher is now able to teach with a lot less stress and emotional sacrifice. For added measure, police agencies could be and, in my opinion, should be required to drop in and walk a "hall beat" from time to time. In the very least, the police agencies, might do this at random, without any additional cost to that agency. It makes sense, i.e., more discipline equates to less crime. Since schools hold a confined population and every where else in society where people are gathered, police tend to be present, how can this be argued?
With such a simple solution, we could get more discipline and the added safety of a police officer's presence. These officers could even hold gun safety classes as opposed to the "demonization" of guns that is so prevalent in school systems today. Imagine the world with more disciplined and respectful children, eating gun shaped pop tarts.

"You've lost that bloated feeling..... oooh that bloated feeling.....

The blog title should be sung to the words "You've lost that loving feeling..." Did you know there is a very simple solution to getting rid of, in the very least, easing "that bloated feeling?" I know, as well as many others, of this very simple remedy. If followed regularly, you will feel less bloated, while at the very same time, you wil lose a few pounds. Do I now I have your attention? Before you call me a blowhard, I will go ahead and spill the beans. Believe me, with this remedy, you will have no problem eating richer foods or adding more beans and other fibers to your diet.
Lemon is key. Of course we all know eating a peppermint or two after a big dinner always eases the mind and helps keep a stomach settled. After all, how many digestive aids have a slight peppermint or minty flavor? But lemon, pure squeezed lemon into water after a meal works wonders. Because I am bigger than most people, 6' 3" at 225 pounds, I squeeze one whole lemon into 8 ounces of water. Smaller frames could get by with 1/2 lemon in 8 ounces of water. No sugar or any other ingredient, period. I mean that now!!
For me, the lemon regimen is every morning before coffee. The charge I get from the nutritious lemon is more awakening than any charge from the caffeinated coffee. Why do you think we call lemon with water lemonade or lemonaid? Because it is a very natural aid without the sugar. Believe me, you will feel better very quickly.
After drinking the sour or tart lemon water, wait a while and rinse your mouth with water and swallow. You will see whiter teeth within a week, a little more sensitive for sure. But, with personal adjustments to your own body requirements, you will feel less bloated, you WILL lose weight, and you just can not help but thank yourself for that pretty smile looking back at you in the mirror.
Research all you want about lemon. You will be glad you did. Later, we can discuss the LEMONADE DIET.

A Great Little League Baseball Book For Boys

How refreshing to hear my 11 year old nephew tell me about a book he had read. You see, like so many young kids these days, he does not read a book very often. However, this Little League baseball book for boys called LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES really clicked with my sister's 12 year old son. Take the PDF Version now, just click here. You can also order the paperback by clicking here or the KINDLE eBook edition by clicking here. Of course, when I asked the 12 year old young man, "tell me what makes LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES such a good baseball book for boys like you to read," his only response was, "I loved LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES because the story really made me think about some of my teammates."

He then went on to tell me about certain players in the book and how they came from different parts of town. The kid talked about their "fortunes" and "misfortunes," and the struggles the players and parents went through as the season progressed. But his eyes lit up when he told me how LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES ended. No doubt, he really enjoyed the book.

LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES seemed to work magic on my nephew. It obviously is a wonderful Little League baseball book for boys to read.

It just makes sense, doesn't it?

There is a number that is used to determine how much security is needed per number of people. One only has to look at a population of a city and divide it by the number of "police" officers to arrive at a figure we can work with here. Let's say one police officer per 750 people.
In a school setting, we can have thousands of "un-disciplined" children and young adults running around daily. Yet, they are not protected at all. Is it not the duty of our "police" organizations to protect? Why not "kill two birds with one stone" here? With one armed officer, say per 750 people, our society receives the protection our tax dollars pay for and the kids, because of the police presence, behave with a little more discipline. It is their duty to "protect and serve."
Maybe discipline is not what is wanted. After all, we have quite a few very large corporations building prisons for profit all over this free country. With less than 5% of the worlds population, the US has over 26% of the worlds prisoners. Are we really that bad?
We need more discipline in our classrooms, period. It is where our kids spend one third of their lives during their formative years!!
