The Gift of Giving

The words "I want" are two of the very first words a young child learns to utter. Do not ask me why this is so. With the beautiful Christmas season upon us, those two words are heard over and over, again and again.

In our society today there are so many people, young and old, who will not receive anything. Can you now imagine the emptiness inside of someone who expects to receive nothing because of their stage in life?

Yet we all know the wonderful feeling that overwhelms us when we are able to help someone, even a complete stranger. Can you even imagine how you might feel if you could take a gift to someone who is less fortunate, to see the appreciation and excitement, the pure joy?

Let's try and create pure joy in the life of someone less fortunate. The gift of giving, it is the most wonderful gift of all.

The Food Is Available. No It Is Not.

Have you ever been really hungry? You know the feeling; the stomach growling accompanied by the sharp pangs of hunger. We either feel it while on a diet, when late or skipping a meal. It is never a pleasant feeling. Fortunately we are able to solve the problem quickly.

Now, imagine the feeling of hunger, with food everywhere. The sight of food, the smell, even the sound when a certain food is cooking. Please, stop for five seconds and, imagine, one of your favorite foods cooking the aroma.

But you cannot have it. As a matter of fact you cannot have any food. While food is everywhere, your straits are so dire. You are doing the best that you can and you are so hungry. If only you could have just one bite.

Hold what you are feeling. Please, hold what you are feeling. You and I both know over one million tons of edible food is wasted each day by institutions due to regulations forced upon them by government. Would you eat a pizza or hamburger that has sat on a countertop for three hours.

Of course and if you were really hungry you might embarrass yourself. How can we get the wasted but edible foods into the mouths of those who could really use it? It must be done.

We all want to play a part in helping others, don't we?

Fighting Fire With Fire

It is a foregone conclusion the terrorist group ISIS is willing to cause fear among their enemies with heinous and despicable acts. Their willingness to behead, rape, and commit torture against people, especially the most innocent, is a well known, documented fact. Obviously this group called ISIS understands the raw power of fear.

In this environment, to confront ISIS, we must be feared. As harsh as this might sound, we must use the very same tactics they use. It is the only way to end their campaign quickly. Maybe the Bureau of Prisons could provide 10 - 15 "Hannibal Lector" types to the military. With special forces involved, several ISIS terrorists could be apprehended. Upon their apprehension, the "Hannibal Lector" types would meet with them; the television cameras and radio microphones turned on. After the meeting between them, we could then show ISIS what happens when groups like ISIS refuses to play by the rules of war.

As a lesser alternative, we could get Hollywood secretly involved to produce 10 - 12 slick and sick videos depicting ISIS terrorists being horribly tortured while presenting it as authentic. Let's get creative and stop them.

The Holy Bible Says ......

In Proverbs 13:24 The Holy Bible talks about parents who spare the rod also hate the child and the need to punish children diligently. When I think of a rod I am glad a rod was not used to correct my errant ways. Can we compare the Biblical rod compare to a thin switch or a leather belt? Would receiving corrective instruction by a belt or a thin switch be preferrable over a rod? My parents thought so and I am very thankful to both of them for that.

How does someone get "beat" by a thin switch? It is easy to understand a beating by a rod but a beating by a switch just cannot be believed. Yet government authorities are persecuting a man for allegedly "beating" his son with a thin, flexible switch. This man, who only wished to instill discipline in his own son, has been charged for using The Bible as a guide to administer a punishment less severe than The Bible calls for.

Why is the government so interested in undermining  parental authority that is supported by Biblical reference?

Times Are Good

We are all living in a country of over 300 million people. Now the major news media outlets are focused on a small town outside of St. Louis called Ferguson. To hear them convey their very coordinated message you would thing the world is coming to an end. I do not think more than 50,000 people are protesting and less than 50,000 protesting out of 300,000,000 people tells me internally that I have to like those numbers.

The major news media (MNM) has about 5 talking heads each. With ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, and MsNBC considered to be the MNM, it means we have 30 people each day telling us how "the American people" are thinking. So 30 people out of 300,000,000 million are telling you how you feel each day and have been doing this for quite some time.

Consider the numbers above. Don't you think it is time to simply tune them out?

Church and State

In the United States of America we do not have a church that is mandated by the state as the "Church of America" and for good reason. We do, however, have a public school system that is controlled by the state and indoctrinating our kids daily. How can that indoctrination be counter balanced?
The independent churches in the USA could offer powerful support towards shifting the balance of power in America. Nothing in the Constitution prevents the churches from doing so. Do you really think the IRS is going to come down on the churches collectively without a severe public backlash? What is it the churches fear?
We must remember the foundation of this country is settled upon the belief in an authority much greater than any government ever created by men. In the past decisions were made by men and women only after deep prayer to that higher authority, pleading for wisdom and guidance. Today, countrymen meet in churches weekly and are afraid to discuss political issues because an authority created by elected officials supposedly could cause them harm.
What do the churches of today believe in? Are they really afraid of the man made authority or do they believe a higher power will protect them from such? Regardless, for the ship of state in America to right itself, every church in America must immediately become involved and fight for the right to engage in argument against the overreach of a tyrannical state.
One other point I would like to make. The beautiful buildings called churches, built upon tax free revenue, are a sight to behold when filled with faithful followers. When empty, they are simply beautiful buildings. Is the beautiful building, surrounded by poverty, homelessness, and single mothers or fathers, really what God intends for us all?

Best Immigration Idea I Have Ever Heard

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag.

We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Every American citizen needs to read this! KEEP THIS MOVING!

Bodies of Children Floating in the Rio Grande River

Who sends their young children, unaccompanied in most cases, to a distant land with no provisions for their safety, health, or hunger? Who does that? What authority allows the free passage, en masse through different countries, to face unknown circumstance? I love to travel but I have yet to find a country willing to let me in without my passport. They surely are not asking for billions of dollars to finance the processing, housing, legal, hunger, and emotional aid needed for those of us who would love to be able to travel without documentation. Yes, it turns my heart into a knot to know young children are found dead on the ground or floating in the Rio Grande River. How and why did this happen?

Insensitivity works

How can we expect to become sensible if we are shielded from insensitivity? Certainly we want to focus on what makes the most sense. How can we know we are making sense if we never face insensitivity?

Where is the Church?

Growing up as a Southern Baptist, attending church every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning, instilled a solid spiritual foundation in my life. This foundation was supported by the Catholic elementary school, Baptist high school, and Methodist college I attended for my education. It has helped me weather many storms. In this country, for a very strange reason, thousands of young kids are entering the country illegally every day. The historical demographic pattern has typically been young adults, simply looking for a better way of life. But in the very recent past, it is kids as young as 3 years old that are showing up at the border. Where did they come from and how did they get there? Where are the parents of these illegally immigrating kids? Do not get me wrong. I wish every border were wide open and we could all just come and go as we wished. But they are not and we can not. Breaking the law has consequences. But using kids, in very large numbers, tugs at the heartstrings. “This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor illegal alien children at risk for purely political purposes,” according to a statement released by the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers. The border patrol is set up to defend the border. With this mass influx of children, their priority has changed to providing humanitarian relief. Yet we have entities in this country that pay zero tax, accumulate great wealth as a result, and are absent during this planned crisis involving children. The relief they could provide is needed now more than ever. Where are the Churches?

SWAT this police activity from our lives.

In the U. S. military there are defined rules of engagement. Great care is taken to prevent civilian casualties. In some cases, the soldier cannot fire until fired upon, even though the enemy is completely armed, locked and loaded. Because of our ability to fund our military, they have the very best tools for the armed battle trade. Maybe the rules are necessary, but I have to believe it puts our troops in an elevated level of harms way. War management has become specialized. Over the past few years we have witnessed local or domestic police agencies receiving tools designed for war as gifts from the military. We have also witnessed a growing police presence, with Federal agencies funding their very own SWAT teams.Yet there are no defined rules of engagement between these police agencies and the American civilian. Growing more common everyday is a tactic used by police units sworn to protect and serve us. It is the act, in an attempt to collect and preserve evidence, of storming into a civilian home using a "no knock" warrant with automatic weapons drawn even though the presence of any kind of gun is not even known. Most of these acts are always against a civilian sought for a non-violent charge. Why are police units being trained to treat us all as violent when 99% of police action with civilians is non-violent? Imagine you are asleep with a legally owned gun in your night stand. Your house is stormed under a no knock warrant. You groggily awake thinking it is an illegal home invasion, and grab your pistol? A bad and probably fatal move. Yesterday, a 19 month old child was sleeping in its crib. A SWAT team lobbed a flash grenade into the window of the bedroom in which the child was sleeping. The flash grenade landed in the crib of the 19 month old baby, exploded and blew the face of the baby wide open. This beautiful 19 month old baby is scarred for life because the SWAT team, with their new military toys, needed to collect and preserve evidence of non-violent drug use. Prosecutors need evidence but, at what cost? What is more important and who are they serving: preserving the evidence or the life of the American citizen?

No Wonder We Wonder.

NBA players, who play in a league that is, according to Charles Barkley, black, start promoting Obamacare, named for the first black President of the United States. The NBA players willingly promote Obamacare under the leadership and approval of a Jewish NBA commissioner named Silver, who happens to be a big Democratic party donor. Two weeks later, Barack Hussein Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder comes out and calls US Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor's dissent against affirmative action as "passionate" in front of the American populace. I personally believe most dissents of any SCOTUS justice are "passionate" yet I had not ever heard Eric Holder say as much about any other dissent until then. After the Holder comment, I had to wonder why now? Would he enforce the ruling or her "passionate" dissent? Later, the Attorney General, while speaking at former FBI informant Al Sharpton's National Action Network proclaimed "unprecedented, ugly opposition ...” and clearly implied it’s because of race, regarding his and Barack Hussein Obama's treatment by the other party to the democratically elected power in Washington. A few days thereafter, an 80 year old Jewish man, who is also a big donor to the Democratic party, is privately and illegally recorded in his own home. He implies on the very illegal and private recording he does not want his half/black, half/latino, 31 year old concubine seen with black men publicly or on social media. Of course, we find out today the "Heinz 57" of a concubine has been sued by this big Democratic donor's wife for the return of the community property given to the concubine by the 80 year old man. The community property transfer included a $2,500,00.00 (two million five hundred thousand dollars) house, a Ferrari, (2) Bentleys, and a Range Rover. Hence, a motive for the private recording to become public. You think? So we have an 80 year old man, who happens to be a big Democratic donor, having his private conversations made public by a half/black, half/latino concubine. This happens as Barack Hussein Obama's Attorney General is playing the race card and praising a SCOTUS dissent as "passionate" or "courageous." All the while, the Jewish NBA Commissioner, a big Democratic party donor, is allowing NBA players to promote Obamacare. Lest I forget, I must tell you the 80 year old Democratic donor happens to be the owner of the NBA Los Angeles Clippers. Today, the Jewish NBA Commissioner, surname Silver who is a Democratic Party donor, stripped everything named NBA away from the 80 year old man, who happens to be, I remind you, another big Democratic party donor. The Jewish NBA commissioner is outraged because a very private and illegally recorded conversation was made public by a "Heinz 57" concubine with a motive. So, with the above being framed, we have black NBA players pushing the Obamacare law that is named after the first black President. It is being done under the principled leadership of a Jewish Democratic donor who happens to be the NBA commissioner; the Attorney General of Barack Hussein Obama is using the race card while promoting a passionate dissent of a SCOTUS ruling; and the taking of property from an American individual, who happens to be Jewish as well, whose conversation was privately and illegally recorded. No wonder we wonder.

Leave Human Reason Out Of It

There are people who say there are too many people and they make choices. There are people who say we need more people and they make choices. Choices are being made daily based upon human desire. How do people get to make the choice regarding life based upon their own desire?

Fat Pigs Get Slaughtered

Growing up the words "fat pigs get slaughtered" meant that being greedy or unfair would only lead to an unwelcome circumstance. I knew the "fat pigs" spent more time at the feed trough, hence their weight gain. No doubt a "fat pig" was more tasty and likely to be culled for the kitchen table.

Can you imagine if the "fat pigs" had been able to control the decisions regarding food, slaughter, and other farm operations? New world records being set for pig weight could be a possibility. The lean, less tasty pig ending up in the grocery aisle would be a foregone conclusion, no doubt. Regardless, we the people would ultimately pay with more money for less value.

Yet we continue to allow politicians to get "fat" on the trough of government revenue. Why do we do that? We have no turnover in our political leadership and the "fat pigs" are now running the operations. World records are being set for government growth.

Take back the farm by removing any politician of any stripe who has spent at least two terms in any elected office. Then and only then will you see efficiency and real leadership evolve. Our farm was not created to give the "fat pigs" operational control. I remember they were always slaughtered.

Boys Baseball Books Offer Boys Reading Fun

Reading is not always on the mind of our sons and daughters. As a matter of fact, getting a boy to open a book can be quite challenging. With baseball season upon us, now is the time for a really good baseball story. One of the best boys baseball books I have ever read is called LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES. The story entails the drama surrounding a 10 - 13 year old boys baseball team and the author does a magnificent job creating distinct and exciting personalities among the players, parents, and the coach.

LITTLE LEAGUE HEROES is the type of book a young boy will read again each year until he feels too old for it. Years later, the boy, now a middle aged man, will open it back up to re-kindle his well spent youth. It is now available in paperback or as an eBook.

Process Does Matter

This speech by Representative Trey Gowdy regarding unbridled Presidential Power:

The Security of Freedom

Watching my favorite movie for the 27th time yesterday I pondered over the reason why. In other words, why do I enjoy watching this movie so much? After all, it is rated R and it is set in medieval time. Then it hits me. The word FREEDOM. Do we elect our leaders to give them the power to remove or secure our freedom? Which is it do you think? It is very telling we lament on facts our elected leaders are more interested in their own protection, their own security, and they will use whatever means necessary to effect their interest. We complain about it yet we continue to provide these types of people with the reward of an elected office. The next time you pull a lever in an election please ask yourself one question. Will this vote provide me with more freedom or will my vote cause more rule and regulation? Remember the only reason for living is to be free and with that freedom comes the huge responsibility of protecting it for future generations. I could go on and on about the personal freedoms lost to political expediency in my short life or I could just mention the name of the movie, BRAVEHEART.

Are we so foolish?

The nation's debt has climbed $2.78 trillion dollars in the past five years. This climb occurred during a very trying period between the political factions. On one side more debt was wanted while on the other less debt was desired.

The sides have been preaching the very same positions since I was a kid yet the national debt has continued to grow. It can not be stopped because the politico's are unwilling to pay the price. If the side who wants debt growth is in power, it grows. If the side who wants less debt is in power, nothing is done towards reduction because it is too painful to cut un-needed governmental services and expect re-election.

You know the gig has really been set when the politico's are more than willing to cut a veteran's pension yet have no issue whatsoever with giving themselves a cost of living increase.

How did we become who we are today? The solution, I think, is removing anyone from any office who has served at least two terms in that office. You are able to remove their desire to govern in order to get re-elected and replace it with a component to serve.

Why are politicians called leaders?

We have all played the game of Monopoly and in some of those games we each played the role of the banker. We did not create or earn the paper money found in the game, but as the banker, we disbursed it, charged interest, and even collected the fines charged in the game to get out of jail. As a very popular board game, we all counted upon the players to play by the rules.

In the United States of America our government officials are elected to serve the people. If they are elected to serve the people why do we call them leaders? After all, they are elected to follow the rules of the United States Constitution, as well as the statutes created through legislation. Yet we call them leaders, when in effect they are "followers" of the established constitutional rule or, in the very least, "servers" of the people. So why do you fear your government official who is elected to serve you?

Please take a look at the following and demand your elected official simply follow the United States Constitution. If not, you must simply support someone who will. After all, they are elected to serve you.

Why Lincoln and Kennedy Were Assassinated

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

It has become the norm.

It used to be a foregone conclusion an elected official would serve his constituents for a couple of terms and retreat back into the normal society, relinquishing the seat to a new servant of the people. Today we see so many incumbent servants whose only focus seems to be for the service of their own re-election. They have become servants for themselves, not servants of the people.

If we could spotlight this reality and instill in the populace a demand for turnover, the people would begin to feel the positive affects of the service that was once ours to reap. If an official has served two terms in any office the mindset of the populace must be against the re-election of that same official. The power has become theirs due to incumbency. We can only regain the power by limiting incumbent representation.

Certainly you have to be upset with the very same talking heads, year after year, telling you of the differences they will make. If you are, then make a point to not ever vote again for an incumbent politician who has served at least two terms in any office.

You will be glad you did.
